And Another “2009 Uwe Boll Your Blog Sucks” Award Goes to…
Since I started this political blog back in November, I have had the pleasure of discussing and debating a wide range of important topics with other intelligent and engaging bloggers. Sure, some of the debates get heated at times, but all in all, those of you who have endured my writings have been a joy to argue with, and I think this is true for most of my fellow Today.com bloggers.
But every so often there comes along a fellow whose hippo-like mouth can do nothing but spew forth pointless rants and personal attacks in a constant stream.
In response to a recent post of mine, titled “Nobody Wants to Come to Israel’s Party,” blogger David Rude wrote these words:
“I would happily pay for the subsidization of Genocidal campaigns against most of these stinking arabs….You my friend would not because you are a cheap butt zero…..Keep it Stagnant….”
This childish comment was followed by three more comments (in a row) that consisted of unusually lame insults against me and fellow blogger Skwguitar.
What do you do with such a person? Do you censor him? Or scold him? Or ignore him?
No, you give him an award!
And so it is my great pleasure to follow the example of my good buddy Skwguitar and present Mr. Rude with his second (that I know of) “2009 Uwe Boll Your Blog Sucks” award.
This great award, by the way, was created by Today.com blogger Bill_Finger. Take a bow, Bill!
But that’s not all. Rude has also won an award I invented a minute ago, the “Rush Limbaugh Loudmouth of the Year” award.
So congratulations Rude Dude! You deserve it! Keep up the lousy work!
And no, I’m not going to provide a link to Mr. Rude’s blog. Wouldn’t want to waste anyone’s time.

I’m not sure if David Rude is really in the same league as some of the past winners of this award since he seems to suck on purpose.
I don’t know, Jason. I’ve been to Poor Republican and while a lot of his (her?) stuff is the usual rightwing gibberish, I don’t have a real problem with it. Admittedly, I am slightly right-of-center in my views, although i consider myself an independent and am a noninterventionist when it comes to foreign policy. In this last election, I voted for both Republicans and Democrats.
That being said, I think PR’s posts are written much better than Rude’s posts. And to the best of my knowledge, PR doesn’t fill his comments sections with inane remarks just to make the “Most Discussed Articles” list. As Bill_Finger put it, “Now I know the sound of one asshole clapping.”
I just find Poor Republican to be combative and douchey. I think he’d be that way regardless of his leanings. Hell, I think he’d be that way writing about TV shows or sports. He goes out of his way to piss people off and then has a ridiculously thin skin about comments. That’s why I gave him the award. David, on the other hand, seems the type who would wear that award with pride.
But then again, this is an award named after a guy who makes some of the worst pieces of shit movies ever. He knows they’re shit. I’ve never heard about him defending them. He just keeps buying the film rights to video games and churns out these movies that he knows suck and keeps making money at it. So perhaps this award is more of a fit than I thought.

I’d like to thank everyone that made it possible for this award. My mums, living in that dirty trailer park on the eastside… my teachers that helped guide me in wisdom before I dropped out of school in the second grade… And of course Uwe Boll for… well crap I guess that guy hasn’t really done anything of substance has he?
Anyways I’m going to go make a completely senseless, rambling inane post about absolutely nothing that no one will read - and then I’m going to play my favorite game! Make up a person’s name that is actually myself and then argue with them on my blog! I’M SO COOL!!!
Oh and skwguitar I take back everything I said about you and man do you know how to play guitar!
I don’t think I’ve commented on a PR article before, nor do I think I’m going to. Maybe I already have, not sure though.
