I agree with you, and there have been studies attesting to it, that a prisoner being tortured will say anything to stop the pain. Regardless; isn't that what the North Vietnamese did to our officers at the Hanoi Hilton (among others) and we're still screaming about that. One final note; Obama said that he was closing Gitmo within a year but never said that those who were SERIOUSLY thought of as being involved in terrorist attacks were not going to stand trial. Cheney should sit in the seat (they'll probably need a large couch) right next to that other fat bastard who condones these practices and let Obama expose them for the sadistic fucks they are.
